Steph Curry's Mouthguard Sells for More Than $3,000

A native of Louisville, Kentucky and an alumnus of the University of Louisville, Curtis Warfield has more than two decades of experience years in strategic leadership positions, and has served since 1997 as a senior level executive with HCA, the world’s largest health care provider. Outside of his professional life, Curtis Warfield follows the NBA and is a fan of the Golden State Warriors.

In a recent online auction, a mouthguard formerly belonging to Steph Curry of the Golden State Warriors fetched a sum of $3,190 for a lucky fan. The mouthguard and case--both bearing Curry’s name--were found at a game in December 2015, according to the fan.

SCP Auctions in California brokered the sale, which also included a jacket worn by legendary UCLA head coach John Wooden, Wilt Chamberlin’s warmups and Larry Bird’s Indiana State University warmups.

This past June, SCP vice-president Dan Imler predicted the mouthpiece would sell for a minimum of $5,000, but the $3,190 actual selling price came up significantly short of that figure.
